A mature tree rarely dies overnight. Severe decline is usually the result of long-term environmental stress that goes unnoticed. As your dedicated tree care service experts, we conduct thorough, scientific hazard and health assessments. If your canopy is thinning, we immediately look below the surface. Soil compaction from heavy foot traffic, lawnmowers, or nearby construction violently suffocates the delicate root system. We utilize specialized pneumatic air-spades to safely blast away and excavate the hard dirt around the roots, alleviating the compaction and incorporating rich organic compost to instantly rejuvenate the tree’s root zone without damaging the microscopic feeder roots.
Planting a tree improperly dooms it to a slow, agonizing death. The absolute most common mistake made by amateur landscaping companies is planting the root ball far too deep, which buries the "root flare" (the widened, flared base of the trunk) under piles of wet soil and heavy mulch. This suffocates the bark and encourages "girdling roots" that eventually wrap around and strangle the tree to death. Our arborists ensure the planting hole is excavated to the perfect mathematical depth and width. We amend the backfill soil with beneficial mycorrhizal fungi to aggressively stimulate rapid root growth, giving your new sapling the perfect biological foundation to thrive for decades.
The local ecosystem in Mount Carmel, PA contains highly aggressive wood-boring insects and airborne fungal pathogens that can completely decimate a mature, beautiful tree in a single season. We don't guess; we identify the specific biological vectors attacking your trees—from emerald ash borers and spider mites to Dutch elm disease and powdery mildew. We implement highly targeted, systemic treatments (often via safe, direct trunk injections) that deliver the exact necessary fungicides or insecticides directly into the tree's vascular sap stream, neutralizing the threat while keeping your lawn, your kids, and your pets completely safe.
Protect your existing, valuable canopy and establish stunning new growth with the guidance of certified botanical experts. Healthy, majestic trees add immense financial value to your property.

"Our beautiful maple was looking very sick and turning yellow in July. Their arborist diagnosed a severe soil compaction issue, performed an air-spade treatment to let the roots breathe, and the tree bounced back incredibly well by the next spring."
"We hired them for a massive tree planting service to create a natural privacy screen along our property line. They helped us choose the perfect evergreens, planted them meticulously so the root flares were visible, and set up a watering schedule. They look fantastic."
"Highly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. They identified a boring beetle infestation in our pines and treated them with direct trunk injections. It completely saved the trees from dying. Excellent arborist tree service."
Sawmill operator, Albert Bradford, gave Mount Carmel its name because of its elevation and beautiful setting in the mountains. He decided that it deserved a special name and named it after the holy mountain in Israel. Mount Carmel began as a logging town. Coal was only discovered in 1790 by Isaac Tomlinson. It took twenty-four years until the first shipment of anthracite was shipped from the borough. Mount Carmel Inn was opened in 1812 by Richard Yarnall and was strategically located on the Centre Turnpike (also known as the Reading-Sunbury Road or Old Reading Road) halfway between Pottsville and Danville. During the latter part of 1854, the Philadelphia and Sunbury Railroad was completed from Shamokin to Mt. Carmel, which led to the opening and development of a number of collieries in the region. During the same year, the Locust Mountain Coal and Iron Company commenced making extensive openings and improvements upon their valuable coal lands in the vicinity of Mt. Carmel, building coal breakers for two collieries – the Coal Ridge and Locust Mountain collieries. The township was erected in 1854, formed from part of Coal Township; by 1862 the borough was incorporated within the township.
